Leopoldo has a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Manchester, an MSc in Biotechnology and Enterprise and a degree in Biotechnology Engineering. He is an expert in microalgae biotechnology and has worked in this area in industrial and academic settings for the last six years. He has a great interest in bio-entrepreneurship, product development and translational science and recently worked as an Enterprise associate for the University of Manchester Intellectual Property (UMIP). As COO, he has been involved in many of the R&D collaborations between the partners of BiOspace.
